Fresh or Freezing Toolbox
For educational use

Use the calculator to estimate the heat load of a residential room and help you decide on the size of the air conditioner needed.
You will need to enter measurements for the floors, doors, windows and walls.
You will also need information about the type of materials used for the external walls, window shade, number of people using the room, ceiling insulation, lights and appliances.
The recommended air conditioner size will be automatically estimated once you have completed the entries.
What is the usual number of people in the room?
